Our Story
Hi, I am Ruks. Some people call me Ruki, which sounds a lot like Rookie and that is where the site name comes from. I founded RukiF1 in September 2025 from Malta and I run the publication together with my friend Adam, a talented copywriter who helps shape a lot of the editorial voice you read here.
My interest in Formula 1 really took off as the sport became more open with its data and technology. The engineering side, the telemetry, the strategic layers hidden underneath the racing itself, that is what pulled me in. For me, F1 was never just about who crossed the line first.
By day I work in technology and I always have. I grew up interested in a lot of sports (basketball, baseball, skateboarding), but the thread that ran through all of them was the data. As a kid I loved keeping score at baseball games just to track the stats. RukiF1 is my side quest: a place to combine that lifelong sports-data habit with the engineering-driven world of Formula 1.
About the Project
RukiF1 is an independent editorial publication. It is not owned, sponsored or endorsed by Formula 1, the FIA or any F1 team, driver or sponsor. Every article here is written or edited personally by me or Adam.
All race data, standings and telemetry come from primary sources: the Ergast and Jolpica F1 APIs, openF1 telemetry and official Formula 1 timing screens during live sessions. We link back to source material where it is publicly available.
