local timeRound 16 of the 2026 Formula 1 season runs at Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia on the weekend of 2 to 4 October. The event carries the Bahrain Grand Prix name after the original round was cancelled and relocated to Sepang.
Sepang International Circuit is 5.543 km long with 15 corners set into the tropical flatlands of Selangor. Designed by Hermann Tilke and opened in 1999, it hosted the Malaysian Grand Prix from 1999 to 2017. The lap record still belongs to Sebastian Vettel at 1:34.080, set in 2017 for Ferrari.
