The Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi is one of Formula 1's most modern and iconic venues, celebrated for its stunning visuals and advanced design. Located on Yas Island, a vibrant tourist destination just outside Abu Dhabi, the circuit has hosted the annual Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix since 2009, regularly serving as the dramatic season finale where championship battles reach their peak.

Designed by the renowned architect Hermann Tilke, Yas Marina features a unique combination of fast straights, technical corners, and a night race atmosphere that captivates drivers and fans alike. Its 5.281 km layout incorporates 16 turns, with several sections winding past the picturesque marina and beneath the spectacular W Abu Dhabi hotel, recognized for its illuminated facade and landmark location over part of the track. Covered grandstands offer comfortable viewing for up to 60,000 spectators, many of whom experience unforgettable sunsets as the Grand Prix transitions from day into night under the world’s largest permanent sports lighting system.

In 2021, the circuit was reprofiled to improve overtaking opportunities and racing excitement, with several slower corners replaced by faster, flowing sections. This update elevated the sporting challenge and enhanced the thrill for participants and audiences, resulting in memorable moments like Max Verstappen’s title-winning drive in the controversial 2021 finale. Beyond Formula 1, Yas Marina Circuit hosts a variety of motorsport events and public activities, including driving experiences, karting, and cycling, making it a central hub for adrenaline and entertainment in the UAE.
